About Us

Clovercrest Baptist Church is a contemporary multi-generational church with a desire and focus to introduce Jesus Christ to our community, the nation and the nations. The church has a rich history of cross-cultural mission. Clovercrest seeks to be a church that follows in the footsteps of the Church of Acts and to experience the Holy Spirit in all His fullness to empower and transform His church. We believe we can do all that Jesus did and more. We are a church with a clear call and vision.

We have people coming from many different church backgrounds and some with no church upbringing at all.  This is a church family open to all who wish to embrace it.  We operate with an open and friendly spirit and in no way wish to replicate an exclusive ‘club’ mentality.  Our eyes and hearts are focussed on God as he helps us look beyond ourselves and to the needs and well being of others.

We are seen as a large church in our region and city but at the same stage have a heart to touch many more lives and grow as a result.  Approximately 1000 people would call Clovercrest their worshipping community with an average attendance of 650 people on any given Sunday.  In addition to this we minister to other large groups of people throughout the week through ministries like; KNO, Oasis, Creative Connections, Tea table, Pathway, etc... Therefore we see church as a daily engagement with people and not just measured by what we do on a Sunday.  We have a multi staff structure that enables us to provide and run the various array of ministries available to our community.  Staff roles range from full-time to one day per week with approximately 20 on the payroll.  Each are gifted and called by God to minister his grace in their aligned port folios and to empower and equip others in using their gifts in building up the church.

The church was founded in 1967 and is an incorporated self governed organisation and is a member of the Baptist Union of South Australia.  We are also a part of the Pray Tea tree Gully network of churches in our region and have a heart to see the church collectively make a difference as we reach out and work together in unity.
